Having a strong presence on social media is an important aspect of building our global brand, and we are working through strategies to do so, such as the following idea which was recently implemented by many TerraLex Board members. Recently TerraLex Chair Derek Humphery-Smith asked Board members for their assistance in increasing TerraLex's LinkedIn follower numbers after a successful experience at his firm, and now we are asking that all members consider helping us increase our LinkedIn follower numbers, too.
We have already surpassed the 5,000-follower milestone, but if our member firms around the world ask everyone in their firms to follow TerraLex on LinkedIn, we can easily triple our current figure and get more visibility on this important social medium.
Derek implemented a strategy at Lander & Rogers by sending a message to the entire firm asking each person to follow TerraLex's LinkedIn page. The following day, after that request, we received 196 new followers. After a second prompt, we gained 63 more. Melbourne is now ranked first in cities where TerraLex has more followers, with London and Miami-Fort Lauderdale completing the top three.
At our recent Global Meeting in Amsterdam, we shared the TerraLex digital marketing strategy and the appetite to increase our number of followers since LinkedIn is a key platform for professional services, especially in industries like law, where trust, credibility, and expertise are critical. Having a larger follower base on LinkedIn enhances the visibility of our legal network to potential clients, partners, and people within member firms and the general business community. Achieving our objectives on LinkedIn and increasing the number of followers will provide social proof to help us continue positioning TerraLex as a serious, reputable player in the global legal market.
Your help in spreading the word internally to follow TerraLex LinkedIn page would be very much appreciated. Please contact Javier Martinez if you would like suggested language for an email that you can send to your colleagues.
